Capturing the beauty of the moment
Anna Salto loves to combine monotype drawing with other techniques and media. In addition to the digital processing of her monotypes in Photoshop, she is also interested in experimenting with the printing plate. This is how she began to develop her „Translucent“ series, in which she positioned the transparent printing plate with the negative drawing on it in front of various colored backgrounds and light sources and photographed them. In this way, a completely new image is created, a staging, a snapshot of the respective portrait, which visualizes beauty and transience in a surprising way.
